Q. 1. Who was Narcissus ? What was special about him ?
Ans. Narcissus was a young handsome man. Not many men, or even Gods were as handsome as Narcissus. He was so fair that almost everyone who saw him fell in love with him that moment.
Q. 2. Who was Echo? Who cursed him and why? What was the curse ?
Ans. Echo was a nymph who was a great chatterer. She was ready to talk to any passer-by on any subject at anytime. Goddess Hera cursed her because on several occasions she had detained Goddess Hera with hours of casual talks, just as Here was on the point of stumbling upon zeus with one of his illicit loves. Eventually Hera grew so annoyed that she put a curse on Echo. The curse was that nymph could say nothing but only the last few words that she heard.
Q. 3. Why did Echo follow Narcissus? Why was she eager to talk to him ?
Ans. Echo followed Narcissus because she larged to go closer to him to gaze upon the beauty of his face. She feared that Narcissus would laugh at her silly speech so she was eager to talk to him.
Q. 4. Describe what happened during the meeting of Echo and Narcissus.
Ans. Echo overcome her shyness and crept from her hiding place to approach Narcissus. But Narcissus had satisfied till then that he had solved the mystery of the voice and roughly pushed Echo away and ran.
Q. 5. Why was the nymph embarassed and ashamed? What was the result of it?
Ans. The nymph was embarassed and ashamed with the behaviours o Narcissus who had roughly pushed away Echo. The result was that Eche hid herself in a dark a cave and never came into the air and sunlight again Her youth and beauty withered away and her body became so shrunken and tiny that eventually she vanished altogether.
Q. 6. Who prayed to God against Narcissus ? What did she pray Was it granted ?
Ans. One of those he had scorned prayed to Gods against Narcissus She prayed to the Gods that Narcissus would some day find himself scorne by one he loved. Yes, it was granted.
Q. 7. What happened to Narcissus when he went to the pool to quench his thirst?
Ans. Tired and thirsty Narcissus went to the pool to quench his thirst and as he leaned over the shining surface, he saw the reflection of the most beautiful face he had even seen. His heart trembled at the sight and he could not tear himself away from it his own image. For a long time Narcissus remain there beside the pool, never raising his eyes from the surface and from time to time murmuring words of love. At least his body withered away and became the stem of a flower and his head the lovely gold and white blossoms.
Q. 8. What feeling do you have when you see your reflection in a mirror ?
Ans. When I see my reflection in a mirror I feel very smart. I feel that no one is as landsome/beautiful as me. I proud of my face and I feel that everyone should proud of their faces. 
C. 2. GROUP DISCUSSION :
1. If you meet two persons, one having a beautiful face and the other a beautiful heart, whom would you prefer and why ?
Ans. If I meet two persons, as having a beautiful face and the other a beautiful heart. I prefer the person having a beautiful heart. It is not necessary that a person having beautiful face also has beautiful heart. The introduction of a man in the society is not only by his face but his introduction depends upon his behaviour, nature and appearance which is possible if heart is clear. I have heard the name of many persons who had not beautiful faces but till now they are memorised by the persons in the world by their great heartiest behaviours.
2. Falling in love with oneself is dangerous. Do you agree?
Ans. Yes, I am agree with this that falling in love with oneself is dangerous. It is because now this time love is not occuring by heart but it occurs by the face which has not guarantee and stability. 
C. 3. COMPOSITION:
1. Write a paragraph in about 80 words on 'Beauty is only skindeep'.
Ans. 'Beauty is only skin-deep' is true. A beautiful face has a beautiful heart, it is not necessary. The beauty of a person looks from his behaviours and appearence. The persons who look beautiful by their skins may be beautiful in fact is not necessary. The beauty of a man is appeared by his behaviour and his character. The scientist like John Epherson, Enstein e and the persons like Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teressa, Nelson Mande etc. were not so beautiful by their skin but the beauties of their characte appearing them us great person in the world. So, A man is beautiful only by his face but he is beautiful in fact by his work and character.
